Tandag City's Uniqueness

Sangkaan Festival in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur comes alive every year from September 6 to 10. This celebration is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents of the city’s residents.  Sangkaan comes from the Visayan term 'sangka' which literally means fight. The ground demonstration is conceptualized from the story of the battle fought between St. Michael and Lucifer to free people from the bondage of temptation and wickedness.
